I.N.R.I. - Erba' Ittri li Kitbu l-Istorja
Description:
4teenth Productions in collaboration with Kumitat Festi Esterni Qormi will transform a WWII shelter into a unique attraction – linking it to the Passion of the Christ. Iesus Nazarenus Rex Idaeuorum, Jesus of Nazareth King of the Jews, is a walkthrough written and is being directed by David George Camilleri and host a number of twenty local television actors.
The audience will be involved into an intriguing plot, as actors will both act and involve them within the proceedings of Christ. Surprises, interaction and natural acting are an essential part of it. The audience will not only be the spectators, but they will also be the spec-actors of it. This concept of involvement is becoming a new trend in modern theatre projects, and is quite popular in British Theatre.
I.N.R.I. will be exhibited on Maundy Thursday (2nd April; 8:00p.m. onwards) and on Good Fridaymorning (3rd April from 9:00 a.m. till noon). The shelter is located in Main Street, a stone’s throw away from St. George’s Church where the Passion Procession Statues will be on display.
Cast will include:
Adrian Azzopardi
Silvio Axisa
Hector Borg
Stephen Buhagiar
Mario Aquilina
Laurence Grech
Mario Mifsud
