La Vittoria Youth Band in Concert

The La Vittoria Band Clu bof Mellieha will be presenting ‘La Vittoria Youth Band In Concert’. This year, the concert will be given an even more modern twist, It will be interesting to know that we will be assisting to a music genre which was never associated with Maltese traditional bands before.

The concert, once again, will include innovations and special lighting and other effects, which guarantee entertainment. Above all, we will be seeing the musicians in different strange moods. Amongst others, music compositions by Tchaikovsky, Chubby Checker, John Williams, Taylor Swift, Joe Cocker will be performed.

One music selection to be performed is an apology to Gioachino Rossini, although later on in the concert a masterpiece of his works will dominate the scene. Joining the band, is a group of professional dancers under the guidance of Christina Cauchi, together with a new group of dancers that will be performing for the first time together with singers Philip Vella, Julia Grima, and the children’s choir ‘Kor Vucijiet Vittorjani’.

This is not all! Simon Vella on the violin and Ronald Briffa,once again will be providing lighter moments to the audience. Direction will be in the hands of Musical Director Ryan Mallia, while Jean Claude Micallef and Elaine Saliba will be the hosts for the night.
