The Montaldi Project
Description:
Led by Guitar player Mirko Montaldi on Guitar, Luke Briffa on drums and Gediminas Stepanavičius on double bass, The Montaldi Project is a musical venture formed by three musicians from Italy, Malta and Lithuania, respectively.
The project focuses on Jazz – free Jazz, improvisation and structured music.
During the performance the trio will be playing original pieces as well as compositions commemorating the late Ornette Coleman.
The musicians of The Montaldi Project will also be holding a workshop related to the field of jazz the next day - Sunday 29 November.
Venue: Theatre (St James Cavalier)
The workshop is open to musicans (kindly bring your instruments with you if you want) and the general public.
