Qawra Road Race 2014

Mellieha A.C. are pleased to advise that once again they are organising the Garmin Qawra Road Races, on Sunday 26th October.

For the first year, athletes can choose between two different distances, that of 5km and 10km. Both races will start and finish at the Malta National Aquarium. Races will start at 8:00am.

Registration can be made online via the club’s website www.melliehaac.info, on Friday 24th October at Medcomms, 4 Msida Road Gzira between 5:00pm and 7:30pm or on Saturday 25th October between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Alternatively, registration can also be made on race day by the starting line between 7:00am and 7:45am.

In the spirit of sports and inclusivity, a 5km walk will be organised, and will set off 15 minutes prior to the start of the two road races (at 7:45am). A 1km Kids Fun Run will start at 10:00am.

Prizes and trophies will be presented to the winners shortly after the end of the races, while all finishers will be handed a token, together with the chance of winning one of five Garmin Forerunner FR15 watches.

It is important to take note in advance that on Sunday 26th October the change in clock will take place as follows: at 3:00am local time, the clock is moved back to 2:00am.
