Kinemastik Film Club 2015
Description:
Kinemastik Film Club returns on the 14th January, with a weekly programme, that will be taking place every Wednesday in British Legion, Valletta.
Now in its 12th year, KFC continues to present various geometrical relations of filmmaking, having our programme curated and presented by artists from all over the world.
Those who visited our short film festival, still dearly recall “Butter Lamp”, story about a wandering photographer who arrives at a tiny Tibetan village with his assistant, some stage props and costumes.
This film, directed by Chinese director Hu Wei, has won the Jury Award at KISFF 2014 as well as many other festivals.
Hu Wei was born in China in 1983. He lives and works between Beijing and Paris. Filmmaker and visual artist, he followed several courses in these arts, successively in China and France, in particular at LA FEMIS, in the national school of fine arts in Paris, and in Le Fresnoy.
During the month of January, Hu Wei will be presenting 3 films at Kinemastik Film Club.
