Talenti, in collaboration with the Manoel Theatre, will be interpreting Ray Cooney's comedy 'Caught in the Net', translated to Maltese by Joe Brincat. This comedy is to be presented at the Manoel Theatre, on 27, 28 and 29 November 2015 at 8.00pm
The story concerns taxi driver Joe Borg. He has been married for the last 18 years to Mary, and at the same time, had a secret lover. One woman lives in Madliena and other in Gharghur. He's lived a double life for too long and now the child he had with his secret lover had begun to communicate with his daughter on the Internet through Facebook.
Both teens were drawn to each other and got to know both their fathers have the same name, drive a taxi and are of the same age. When Joe discovers that his two children agreed to get together, to get to know each other, he tried to do everything to keep them separated. Joe asks his friend Paul Vella, a good man, to give him a helping hand and try to sort out the mess. The result is total confusion, blatant lies and all sorts of foolishness.
This is a classic farce from the pen of Ray Cooney, it has all the ingredients that make for great entertainment.
The cast includes Mario Micallef, Ron Briffa, Marvic Cordina, Rita Camilleri, Sarah Camilleri, Sean Briffa and Michael Tabone.
