Joy to the Commonwealth: A Concert of Songs of Hope and Praise

Joy Gospel Singers in joint concert with the Commonwealth Festival Choir Joy Gospel Singers will be teaming up with the Commonwealth Festival Choir & Orchestra for a joint concert at St Lawrence Collegiate Parish Church Vittoriosa on Friday 27 November at 7.30pm.
The concert coincides with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which Malta is hosting for the second time. For the forthcoming Vittoriosa concert, Joy Gospel Singers and The Commonwealth Festival Choir have prepared a varied programme that includes Gospel style songs, as well as songs selected around the theme of world peace and harmony.
Some of the songs performed by the English choir were written by young composers aged 9 to 16. The two choirs will join up to perform songs from each other’s repertoire, summing up the concert by the rendition of Gustav Holst’s ‘World in Union’.
