Jazz Collective

The Malta Jazz Collective came to life to provide a platform aimed at integrating and connecting musicians and artists for the purpose of collaboration, meeting new people, musicians, cover material that would have been considered uncoverable and to push the boundaries of what is Jazz.

Not just your local jazz gig, but an experience that connects both body and mind. To either stimulate or be stimulated, an experience that showcases some of the top musicians locally and internationally who understand the definition and goal of what Malta Jazz Collective is all about.

The idea behind the Malta Jazz Collective is collaboration. Bringing musicians together, both locally and internationally, forming partnerships, ensembles and creating an environment of inspiration and partnership. Introducing the core of the band, we have one of the most on-demand rhythm sections that Malta has to offer. Alan Portelli on electric bass & Manuel Pulis on drums. These two young musicians are at the top of their game, playing with some of the best names out there & always pushing the meaning of Jazz to the next level. Joining them we have guitarist, singer and songwriter Clint Campisi.

Clint - originally from Australia - was based in Berlin for the most part of his musical life, which later on led him to Zurich where he played professionally for over 7 years with the biggest jazz cats around, while working in the underground pop scene.
