Love transcends all borders, visible or not. Such seems to be the moral behind this quasi-fairy tale of the Tony-award winning songwriting team, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

From the pen of Lynn Ahrens and the musical creativity of Stephen Flaherty, the Margaret Howard Theatre College, from the United Kingdom, dreams of Once On This Island – a cross somewhere in between Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid. Set in the French Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean, this is the story of a peasant girl on a tropical island who uses the power of love to bring people of different social classes together.

This project is being presented by the Margaret Howard Theatre College.

This initiative is part of the Spazju Kreattiv programme.
