BirdLife Malta and Merlin Publishers would like to invite families to attend our reserves opening event!

With stalls, activities and more, this is the perfect setting for a family day out. The event is the official opening of BirdLife Malta’s nature reserves for the new season, and the launch of children’s book ‘Merħba fir-rifuġju ta’ kobikisa!’

Special guest for the day will be Maltese author Trevor Zahra. Exclusive book reading and nature detective activities will take place for children within the nature reserve from 9.30-10.30 and 11-12, for which booking is essential.

There is no charge to attend and light refreshments will provided. The reserve will then be open to all members of the public from 12 noon. When not busy with book readings Trevor Zahra will be available for book signings during the morning.

In addition to the activities within the nature reserve, there will also be stalls and activities for families to enjoy in the public space adjacent to the reserve. The kiosk will provide additional seating for families to get refreshments and to picnic.
