Jazz Improvisation Course

The Malta Society of Arts will be hosting a weekly jazz improvisation course as part of its Winter Courses Schedule. These classes will be given by the Malta Jazz School starting in October.

In music, improvisation is one of the most essential tools in being able to express your true personality using the techniques developed on the instrument over a period of time. Jazz is the genre which is truly defined by improvisation, considered one of the most prominent styles for creative expression. This course will take an approach to improvisation which is based on a series of topics and skills sets that, when used together, give musicians the creative freedom to make music on the spot.
