Rootz Island in collaboration with Places Club proudly welcomes you to the launch of Ram Jam Reggae & Dancehall Nights in Malta.

After the significant success at Bob Marley’s 70th birthday celebration which had people from all walks filling up the venue till early hours of the morning unifying & dancing to the sounds of bob & reggae music in a proper jamaican dancehall style, we've decided to give you a regular monthly night. 

Ram Jam in Jamaican means a full-house party/venue filled to capacity (maybe a little more), it makes perfect sense for us! 

Ram Jam Nights are promised to be the hottest, the baddest & the maddest Reggae & Dancehall club nights on the island delivering real Jamaican & Caribbean entertainment experience that is all about high energy & lots of good party vibes. Malta you truly deserve it! 

Expect high ranking DJs & sound system crews both local & international to takeover the decks, surprise live guest artists will be invited to perform too. 

The night is also dedicated to the person who inspired & still inspires many DJs & sound system crews. Sir David “Ram Jam” Rodigan, pioneer & living legend reggae DJ & radio broadcaster based in the UK. For over 30 years David Rodigan has been the top dog in the ganja-scented, bass heavy-atmosphere of Britain’s reggae dance-halls. The key to his success has been an unsinkable passion for reggae music, which first took a hold of him as a schoolboy when he heard ska music in the early ’60s. He developed an obsession with the music of Jamaica that generated an encyclopaedic knowledge of the island’s every artist, every song and every rhythm track.
