Tchaikovsky Ballet Gala

The year of 2015 marks the 175th Anniversary of the birth of the great Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. For one-and-a half centuries his music has attracted great interest amongst all generations and people all over the world and continue to mesmerise to this day. His three ballets “Swan Lake”, “The Sleeping Beauty”, “The Nutcracker” are true pearls of the world’s ballet treasures and the most popular repertoire of the many international ballet theatres.

The Royal Moscow Ballet’s Company ‘’The Crown of Russian Ballet’’ was founded in 1997 and consists of the best Russian Choreography schools’ graduates.  They have toured successfully in Russia and around the world, including Europe, North and South Africa, Asia, India, China, the Far East, and North and South America, amongst other countries.

Artistic Director Anatoliy Emelianov and Anna Alexidze prepared a special programme for Maltese and Gozitan families devoted to the two great Russian composers  – “Tchaikovsky Ballet Gala” on the 15th May, which will include the best extracts from “Swan Lake”, “The Sleeping Beauty”, “The Nutcracker”, “Romeo & Juliette”, “Manfred” and full spectacle-ballet  “Cinderella” by Sergey Prokofiev on the 17th May 2015 at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta. Beautiful music,  traditional classical ballet scenary and impressive costumes will  satisfy  anyone. Unique performance in Malta, not to be missed!
