Elsewhere NYE 2016

Orbiting around the theme of time and space, Elsewhere is an audio-visual event co-created by designers and developers through a series of workshops.

Those joining the creative sessions will produce interactive visuals that will feature during Elsewhere. By learning through doing, we’ll explore the incredible power of Processing, an easy to learn programming language for the visual arts. Join us in making a truly memorable atmosphere to see us through the final hours of the year.

Alongside the visuals, there’ll be some of our favourite tracks mixed by friendly humans leading us into 2016.

* If you’re new to programming and also interested in the digital arts, this is the workshop for you. Got a visual idea and want to animate it digitally? Expose yourself to Processing. Processing is an electronic sketchbook for developing ideas. Since its simple beginning at MIT, it has emerged as an invaluable tool for media artists, designers, and programmers around the world. In this workshop, we’ll start from the beginning, learning the basics about Processing and working toward creating our first interactive sketch. This workshop is suitable for anyone — even those with no programming experience at all.
