A Life in Parallels – An Evening with Clare Francis MBE

Bestselling author and successful yachtswoman Clare Francis MBE presents a talk at the Royal Malta Yacht Club on 3 October. In ‘A Life in Parallels’, Ms Francis will share her many career successes, both as an international author and as a yachtswoman, as well as her battle with ME. Clare Francis is best known as the author of 11 bestselling novels, with her first, Night Sky, shooting to Number One on the Sunday Times bestseller list and staying in the New York Times Top 10 for six weeks. Her writing career was preceded by another, as a successful yachtswoman. She sailed twice across the Atlantic on her own, and was the first woman to captain a successful boat in the Whitbread Round The World race. Funds raised by this one-off event will go towards the Save Valletta’s Skyline appeal, which aims to raise more than €8 million to fund vital restoration work on the tower, spire and structure of St Paul’s Pro-Cathedral in Valletta. A Life in Parallels, a talk by Clare Francis, will be held on 3 October at the Royal Malta Yacht Club, Ta’ Xbiex Seafront, Ta’Xbiex.
