TV production is the process of developing a television programme from its early writing stage through acquiring talent and a crew, securing a set or location shooting, editing, and preparing it for broadcast.

What is the role of a television producer?
A television producer is a person who oversees one or more aspects of video production for a television programme. Some producers take more of an executive role, in that they conceive new programmes and pitch them to the television networks, but upon acceptance they focus on business matters, such as budgets and contracts. The majority of local producers seem to be more interested in presenting their own television productions thus being the anchor of the programme.

This course will cover the following:
Knowing your audience
Working within a team
Production Planning and research
Programme content and features
Production meetings
Live Broadcasts and recorded programmes
Guests and Interviews
Phone Ins, Skype/Zoom links
Financing/Advertising and sponsors

The course starts on Friday 3rd June 2022 at 17:30hrs.
