Lotus - A Collective Exhibition

Studio 87 is celebrating its 5 year anniversary with the collective exhibition entitled Lotus, taking place on Friday 26th May. Curated by Justine Balzan Demajo, this exhibition includes works by photographer Ritty Tacsum, Berlin based painter Daniel Borg and Philippa Dix with her botanical curiosities. This fusion of mixed media will together embody the theme of rebirth, fertility and the coming of Spring, all of which outline the symbology of the lotus flower. A reawakening of this kind gives rise to spiritual, mental and emotional freedom. The works on display evoke this sense of freedom that may be associated with rebirth and personal growth. The selected works contain a subtlety and ambiguity that invites the visitor to immerse oneself in a moment of reflection and wonder.
