Tosca - Gaulitana: A Festival of Music
Description:
The highlight of this year's Gaulitana: A Festival of Music is the operatic production of Tosca; the biggest project earmaked yet in the festival's 8-year history. This full-scale opera, held in collaboration with Taormina Festival, will be staged at the Teatru tal-Opra Aurora on the 12th of April, 2014.
The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will be under the direction of Colin Attard whereas the production will be in the hands of acclaimed Italian director Enrico Castiglione.
Three top-notch Italian singers will head the cast: Norma Fantini (Tosca), Piero Giuliacci (Cavaradossi) and Francesco Landolfi (Scarpia).
The Gaulitanus Choir, the organizer of the festival, will take part as the chorus.
