Raid Over the Horizon - World War II Re-Enactment

As of this year Battlefront Living History Group Malta in collaboration with the Gharghur local council, have agreed that the shelter opening will now take place three times a year. This event is hosted by BLHG Malta and shall also feature a military vehicles display from the Military Vehicles Collectors Club (MVCC) (as mentioned below).

German and Italian forces are on high alert, making the final plans for the spearhead attack on Malta. Malta has been neutered under years of bombardment, rendering it unable to launch attacks on Italy or shipments. Malta is ripe for the taking! On the island, everything is in scarcity however the local troops are even more determined to face off the inevitable invasion. How is the local population and military dealing with the ongoing blitz , what are are the axis forces problems and how Malta played an important role in the Invasion of Sicily? These and more questions shall be discovered at Gharghur centre, Sunday 23rd; from 10am till 3pm.

Activities during the event will include: 

Opening of the shelter at Gharghur (Triq Ferdinand); accompanied by a World War II display setting.
