A Midsummer Night's Dream
Description:
The Central Academy of Ballet proudly presents a ballet adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream on 7th July at 9p.m.
The ballet is produced by the academy’s directors Monique Pellegrini Petit and Mireille Coleiro, with the assistance of Svetlana Silina. Their ballet is mainly inspired by Frederick Ashton’s adaptation The Dream, to music by Felix Mendelssohn. Peter Howitt has created all the set designs that will be used in the production.
The cast of the ballet includes students of Central Academy, along with other local artists such as Nicola Buhagiar, Keith Micallef, Warren Bonello, Gino Camilleri, Tamara Micallef, Marisha Bonnici, Joseph Schembri, Robert Scicluna, Alexander Spiteri and Stuart Vella.
